Getting ready for Europe 2014

Three weeks and a few days before we head off for eight weeks in Europe and Turkey.  This post is me getting some practice in using blogger again, and working out uploading photos.

I hope the weather in Europe will be better than that we experienced during the Japan trip earlier this year. The photo above was taken from the sheltered area outside Hōryū-ji Hōmotsukan , the Treasure Gallery at the Tokyo National Museum. It was snowing hard. Very beautiful but very cold, and seemed especially so as it was around 40 degrees c in Melbourne when we left a few days before.
